SATURDAY JUNE 29 2002
"I Saw Some Films Today!"
Four Solo Beatle movies!
Ringo and George Double-Header!!
THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN
Ringo's first solo co-starring role - playing Peter Sellers' son in a
Terry Southern-scripted cult classic. With cameos and writing assists
from future Pythons John Cleese and Graham Chapman. And theme song
written and produced by Paul McCartney.
George Harrison composed the brilliant acid-rock-raga score to director
Joe Massot's wild headtrip comic fantasy about an eccentric scientist
voyeuring the endless sex life of gorgeous nymph Jane Birkin. ("Nous
T'aimons Tu Jane - Moi Non Plus"!) We lost George and Joe in the last
few months. This is our tribute to them both.
John and Paul Double-Header!!
HOW I WON THE WAR
Richard Lester's way-ahead-of-its-time war movie satire anticipates
M*A*S*H and the Python spoofs of the British military. And inspired
co-star John Lennon's "A Day In The Life" ("I saw a film today oh boy -
the English army had just won the war...") A must-see for fans of
Musketeer Gripweed! Also stars Michael Crawford.
THE FAMILY WAY
Paul was the first Beatle to undertake a solo music project - scoring
this 1966 Hayley Mills comedy-drama. Ultra-rare screening of this lost
gem. McCartney's score - arranged by George Martin is quite exquisite.

which inspired Austin Powers!

Palmer into a franchise.
BILLION DOLLAR BRAIN

lasted about 3 days in the theaters when it was premiered in 1968! Is
it now time for this lost gem to be properly appreciated?!
